OBJECTIVES: To summarize the preliminary use and clinical value of Dx-pH detection system in patients with clinical symptoms of pharyngeal reflux disease.
RESULTS: Of the 54 patients, 26 were positive for Ryan index, the positive rate was 48.2%. Ryan index positive mainly for the upright position Ryan index positive (24/26 cases), accounting for Ryan positive 92.3%. Proton pump inhibitor treatment 8 weeks after the symptoms did not completely alleviate the 22 patients, 13 cases of Ryan index positive, the positive rate of 59.1%. Ryan index positive and RSI and / or RFS scale score positive results inconsistency (κ = -0.013).
CONCLUSION: Despite the inconsistency with the RSI / RFS score, the Dx-pH detection system detects pharyngeal reflux events, helping clinicians to diagnose pharyngeal reflux disease and reduce misdiagnosis.
